The gardens surrounding each of the stilted bungalows in Bho Hoong village have been designed to help the site blend in with the surrounding environment. They combine native jungle vegetation with a very practical variety of fruit and vegetables. This produce makes its way into the large variety dishes served to guests and as an homage to our community based tourism ethic any surplus yield is gifted to the local community as an addition to their own reserves.

Guests are both welcome and encouraged to join in with the local villagers as they tend the gardens. This gives guests the opportunity to participate in local village life in a meaningful way. It also creates an ideal forum where knowledge of food cultivation can be shared between peoples.
